I was born and raised in Robinson, Illinois. Robinson is a small town about 2 hours east of Centralia. I am the youngest of 4 children, was born into a very ministry minded family. My parents have been traveling and singing gospel music together for over 50 years. played drums before getting into full time ministry.

I hit the jackpot when I married my wife Shannon in 1993. Not only is she an incredible beautiful, Godly woman…she is also as big of a St. Louis Cardinals (the 2006 World Champion St. Louis Cardinals) fan as I am. As much as she loves the Cardinals, she loves me even more…( she’s definitely outta my league though ) Shannon even gave up her ticket to the final game of the 2006 World Series so I could take our 10 year old son to the game.

Shannon and I have 2 incredible boys. Trenton is 12 and is a 7th grader at New Horizon Christian School. Trevor is 9 and a 4th grader at New Horizon Christian School. Trenton has one of the biggest hearts of any young boys I’ve ever met, and well, Trevor…Trevor has a smile that can absolutely light up a room. I’ve never known a kid like Trevor…you can tell he’s smiling even when you are looking at the back of his head.

When I get the chance to kick back and chill out… I love sports, especially baseball (especially the 2006 World Champion St. Louis Cardinals, Oh did I mention that already? And did I Mention that my friend Kenny…see his puny profile…is a Cub Fan…pray for him!) I dig music…all kinds of music. I guess you could say that I’m a tad schizophrenic when it comes to music…I’ve got a little bit of everything on my IPOD. I just got done reading the book Radical Reformission by Mark Driscoll. Driscoll is fast becoming who I want to be when I grow up… ok so that may be stretching it a little…but I enjoy him a lot. One of my favorite foods is my moms Salisbury Steak. I love to hang out with Shannon and the boys. One of my most favorite times is to watch the boys watch Shannon watch Americas Funniest Home Videos. Let’s just say that if it’s true that laughter is the best medicine…my wife will not be sick a day in her life.

I love Greenview! The people are incredible. The staff makes ministry fun, and as diverse as we are…our heart for the Lord beats in rhythm. My dream is simple love God and love the people God loves and when we do we will Honor God Above All Else.

Children: We have 2 boys and 1 girl. Our oldest is Caleb who is 10 and our youngest is Luke coming in at the ripe old age of 5, and Ava just turned 1.

How I got involved at Greenview?: After spending 8 years in Student Ministry at a few different churches God led My family and I here to Greenview and we have never been happier, except for that time when the Cardinals got swept by the Red Sox. Oh wait, that was me that was happy, not my family.
Some favorite things: Many of my favorite things to do involve sports, and the outdoors, but for the most part I just really enjoy being a light in this dark world of Cardinal fans. Because, we all know that yes, God loves everyone, even Cardinal fans.
Hope & vision for Greenview: My hope for Greenview is that we will become a community of believers who strives to love each other as well as love the community around us, no matter the circumstances.

Ministry: Children’s Minister and Administrator of New Horizon Christian School.
Spouse: Ken we have been married for 30 years, extremely supportive and understanding of all the time and energy that goes into ministry.
Children: We have three children, two who are still at home. Kenzey age 14 and attending High School at Christ Our Rock. Her favorite things are music and volleyball. Darahn age 10 in Jr. High at New Horizon. His favorite things to do are play video games, bike ride and tennis. We also have an older daughter Sonya who has given us two beautiful granddaughters Zakariya and Carliya.
Pets: Dog (Beagle) named Sparky and a cockatiel named Tweety.
Things I like: Enjoy time outdoors and around animals. Reading in a quiet place is my favorite pastime. I love hanging out with kids and assisting them as they grow spiritually and watching them become children of the King.
Vision for our Ministry: To make a difference in the lives of young people that will become adults who honor God above all else.
